for the past few months Callie’s been pretty interested in the potty (she went #1 on a fluke like 3 months ago).
Occasionally, when she’s getting into or out of the bath we’ll ask her if she wants to go pee pee on the potty. Sometimes she says “ya” and we put her on –nothing ever happens. Other times it’s an emphatic “no, all done, all done, all done.” Either way, it’s a no pressure situation.
Tonight she was grunting and passing a bit of gas in the bath tub (for those of you who have had the joy of seeing her poop face, it’s priceless). So instead of waiting until she pooped in the bath (which has happened), Aaron asked her if she wanted to go poo poo on the potty. I’m thinking good luck with that one, but to my surprise, he gets a “ya.” She proceeds to sit on the big potty for a good 2 minutes reading her upside-down magazine.

Still reading, a few grunts, but no results. She gets a little antsy, so we decide to get the little potty and grab an animal book. To our surprise, she wants to sit on it. At this point, I sit with her and we point to the animals for a minute or two.
The grunting starts again –this girl is determined! Ta-da! A poopie! She was so excited and we were shocked.
Don’t worry –we’re considering this a fluke too :) I just had to post it cause she’s so stinkin’ cute!
Picking out the tree –we went with two small table top trees this year.
A major melt down because I told her she couldn’t have another cookie.
Playing at the park. This is actually fun now.
She always want to put our shoes on :)
